Appearance: Shes a desert Arabian and stands at 15.3hh. Her coat is blood bay and her mane, tail and hooves are black. Ansams eyes are also gold, but they vary with how she is feeling, when shes angry they are a deep reddish-brown, when she is happy or excited they are bright gold, and normally they are a deep glowing gold. There is a scar on her left flank where the stallion slashed her with his hoof when trying to mount.
About Her: She's extremely secretive and somewhat mischievous; she's even turned on some who considered her a friend, but not without reason. She's a loner, and sometimes seems cold, but she is very sweet and caring once she lets you into her small and exclusive circle. Ansam is optimistic considering what has happened in her life, and is very pleased to be included into a group by invitation.
Ansam was born in the mountains in the middle of a storm, her very first breath was a struggle and only a few months after she was born her mother was killed by falling onto jagged rocks. Ansam learned to climb them and visited her mother's grave often as she tried to stay alive; she lost weight and barely grew at all as she got older. Her father found her and took her to his herd where she was fostered by another mare. When she was almost two a stallion from the nearest herd in the mountains captured her while her father was gone. He attempted to mate her and Ansam barely escaped with a scar on her haunches, she decided from that point on not to trust anyone.
Several years later she was a full grown mare at almost sixteen hands, her beauty was abounding and her stride overcoming. However she had lost part of her heart and all of her trust and had forgotten how to love, a young outcast stallion came upon her one day and found her full of anger and hate. She finally gave him a chance to get to know her before he had to move on by the region's herd leader. He taught her how to trust him just to be her friend and she never forgot him although they never have had contact since then.
Every stallion whos district she entered attempted to claim her, but she was too fleet for them to catch her or too desperate and willing to fight. Finally she was far out in the desert. There she found many regions unclaimed and prowled for miles upon miles. In such vast hills there are very few inhabitants, a few gazelle's, hawks and hares and very few horses. About ten horses in the thousand mile radius in which Ansam lived were her close friends. Two very close, and all but three of them were mares. Her two closest friends were Isra a stallion, and a mare named Sabiha who she often stays near by.
