This is my character Saycara she's an elf. actually she's one of the three main characters in the Land of Garinalore. If any of you remember that *cough* it's gone through some major re-writing and I have lots of ideas for it, though I can't REALLY imagine ever finishing the story, I haven't convinced myself to give up on it yet Saycara is a lovely lil lady.... I've spent seeeeveral hours on this, I have never pulled of human skin tone before so I'm not sure how this will turn out. Does anyone have any hints? annnd she will have eyebrows and lots of hair.
PS Elements 5.0 stinkkksss for skin tone. Let's put it that way. Corel blends so much nicer and I love the color pallette option in X. I got the trial a while ago
Reference is Kristin Kreuk ...but I'm trying to change her face a bit to make it look like Saycara...not really succeeding so far beyond her ear but I'll get there
it's a person...or actually an elf I don't know It's more for experience sake...the skin tone is soooo tedious I'm dying.

It looks great so far For skin tone, I'd say add lots of color. It works for normal painting...like look where you can see blues, greens, purples, and just go at it. You can then blend lighter colors over top of it, and make it more subtle. (Can you tell this is what we're doing in painting class right now )
MHmm.. I think I will, though she may look slightly surreal when I finish and smooth and shiny if I can ever get there I was following a reference for the colors ..but who says I have to follow it ?

When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
A Special Collection of photographs i found this month that still haunts my mind. Show them some love There are always some i can`t include due to space, i try to make the features under 50 deviations to give them better exposure
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
