Maximus Decimus Meridius for my older sister Jes who means more to me than almost anyone else. I wanted to draw Russel Crowe because of my love for Maximus in Gladiator, my sister, who shares my mild infatuation, asked me to draw him for her. We're both fans of Maximus more than Russel, though he did a great job with the part.
 You all know exactly what terrible deeds scanners do. The scanner I used for this was worse than our old one  silly, they're making them worse instead of better now-a-days. Looking at it on the computer he looks really distorted in ways I hadn't been able to pick out on paper. Oh well, my sister will like it anyway, she probably won't even notice.
